There is a large police presence near Great Salt Lake after authorities received reports of a "possible drowning" on Oct. 22, 2024.
The Salt Lake City Police Department, Salt Lake City Fire Department, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, and EMTs were at the scene Tuesday night, along with a Department of Public Safety helicopter.Authorities confirmed at least two people had been involved, though further details about the situation weren't immediately shared with KUTV 2News.
The investigation was turned over to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, and Hancuff referred KUTV to the sheriff's PIO for further information.
