Deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was granted a conditional discharge at his trial on corruption charges yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Muda might reconsider its position in the unity government due to the conditional discharge deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was granted at his corruption trial yesterday. At a press conference here, Muda secretary-general Amir Hadi said the party felt that “the biggest red line crossed” after Zahid’s discharge not amounting to acquittal in his Yayasan Akalbudi case.“If there is no response from the government on our three demands, we might have to consider leaving .”
He was speaking after the party launched its #DakwaZahid campaign, in which Muda is pushing for Zahid, who is also the Umno president, to be charged again. It also wants the Attorney-General to explain the decision to request for the DNAA, and the separation of the public prosecutor’s role from the Attorney-General.
