PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Trades Union Congress today called for action to be taken against a man who was videoed assaulting a Nepali security guard.

The one-minute clip which has gone viral shows the man repeatedly slapping, punching and hitting the guard with a baton while scolding him in Malay. “What’s your problem?” he is heard saying to the guard who does not retaliate. “Are you messing around? You come here to look for work, not problems.”MTUC secretary-general J Solomon told FMT such abuse was unacceptable.He also urged the authorities to act immediately even if a police report has yet to be lodged.Meanwhile, the Nepal embassy said it was aware of the video and had lodged a police report on the incident.or our hotline number 0162472777,” it said.
