Mokwena was appointed as the sole head coach following the restructuring of the technical team after Sundowns' exit in the MTN8 at the hands of Orlando Pirates in October. Zwane says he welcomes the decision, as Mokwena is someone who is inquisitive and his penchant for learning new things is liked by players, as it improves their game.

The 33-year old says he accepts the competition for places in the team and will always be available to give his best, even off the bench.
