The Government has asked China to supply ventilators to the NHS after a number of British companies were rejected for failing to meet the specifications, The Telegraph has learned.
Hundreds of Chinese-made ventilators will start arriving in the country this week as part of a consignment of 8,000 items being shipped from overseas to help patients infected with coronavirus in the UK.
