However, Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has since disputed the signing, accusing the Gqeberha-based side of trying to 'steal' their player."I'm still going to talk to the chair of Baroka. What we normally do is we talk to a player, and the player says: 'Here is my agent'. Then we talk to an agent, and the agent says: 'The player is free'. Then we sign a contract, and the clearance is sent," Mpengesi tells this website.
"Where I'm sitting, I can't point fingers at anyone. I don't know who is telling the truth and who is not telling the truth here. But surely, there is someone who is not telling the truth.Mpengesi goes on to clarify that he has no problem with Baroka. "But I'm a victim here because I have signed the contract, I have paid the player signing-on fees that they wanted, and he's already got a two-month salary now and accommodation.
