Maroon 5 has matched The Rolling Stones' Hot 100 chart record
, Maroon 5's "Memories" leaps from No. 9 to No. 2 on the Hot 100 , granting the Adam Levine-led act placements in the top two on weekly charts dated in the 2000s, '10s and, as of this week, the '20s. Maroon 5 joins the Mick Jagger-fronted Stones as the only groups to have ranked in the top two in three distinct decades over the survey's 61-plus-year history .
Here's a look at Maroon 5's top-two Hot 100 hits, totaling seven over the '00s, '10s and '20s: "Makes Me Wonder" ; the aptly titled "Moves Like Jagger," featuring Christina Aguilera ; "Payphone," featuring Wiz Khalifa ; "One More Night" ; "Sugar" ; "Girls Like You," featuring Cardi B ; and "Memories" .
And, The Rolling Stones' count, with 10 such hits in the 1960s, '70s and '80s: " Satisfaction" ; "Get Off My Cloud" ; "19th Nervous Breakdown" ; "Paint It, Black" ; "Ruby Tuesday" ; "Honky Tonk Women" ; "Brown Sugar" ; "Angie" ; "Miss You" ; and "Start Me Up" .
