The Anchorage runner ran over three minutes faster than her former personal-best time from the 2022 Mount Marathon.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A pair of Alaskans took the lead on several Mount Marathon favorites early in the women’s race Thursday afternoon in Seward.
Rhodes, of Anchorage, took first place with her 49 minutes, 49 seconds, performance, over three minutes faster than her former personal-best time of more than 53 minutes from the 2022 Mount Marathon. Rhodes trailed Kramer briefly near the turnaround point, but the first-time champion overtook Kramer on the downhill.
Marvin won the race in 2013, 2016 and 2023. Lafleur is a two-time champion with wins in 2019 and 2021.
