Automotive group says sales are likely to be flat in the continuing tough trading conditions

The company said in an update to shareholders on Wednesday it expected to “maintain revenue” in the year, with “Motus said it expected to maintain operating profit, improve working capital efficiency, reduce debt, and to grow normalised headline earnings per share in the financial year. “The South African and global economic and political environments have been unsettled during the period,” Motus said.

“Worldwide, the automotive industry is facing considerable change, with major disruptive trends likely to change the way vehicles are purchased, used and maintained in the medium to long term.”
