All three victims died after being struck in Prospecton in the south of Durban on Saturday.Police say the 23-year-old suspect handed himself over a few hours later and told them he drove to a local beach and out of fear, dumped the body that landed in his vehicle.KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says the man briefly appeared in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
"The accused is charged with reckless and negligent driving, defeating the course of justice, three counts of culpable homicide and failing to compile with the duties of a driver after an accident.Sign up:
