Motorcyclist, motorist killed in 2 separate crashes in San Diego [Breaking]
Two men died in separate single-vehicle crashes in the Midway District and Fairmount Park late Saturday and early Sunday, San Diego police said.
In the first, a 22-year-old riding a 2020 Triumph motorcycle slammed into a wall a little before 10 p.m. on Saturday after hitting the curb at the intersection of Midway Drive and Barnett Avenue, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. He said the motorcycle was moving at high speed. In the second crash, a man driving a 2014 Kia heading northbound on Home Avenue near Beech Street ran his vehicle into a parked semi-truck shortly before 4 a.m., said police Officer Sarah Foster.
It is not clear whether either crash was the result of the wet roads and heavy rain that San Diego experienced this weekend.
