BALIK PULAU: A 30-year-old workshop owner was killed when he was hit by a car after he fell off his motorcycle and went into the opposite lane.
Balik Pulau OCPD Supt A. A. Anbalagan said the accident occurred at Jalan Balik Pulau at around 4.30pm on Tuesday .
“We received a report from the 30-year-old driver of the car that collided with the rider. The initial report showed that the victim was heading from Teluk Kumbar and fell down while passing a bend before going into the opposite lane,” said Supt Anbalagan He added that it is believed that the motorist was driving from Balik Pulau towards Teluk Kumbar and could not stop in time when the motorcycle went into his lane from the opposite direction.
“The victim was sent to the Balik Pulau Hospital for treatment before he was pronounced dead at around 8pm,” said Supt Anbalagan in a statement.Article type: metered
