Motorcyclist killed in Otay Mesa crash [Breaking]
A motorcyclist died when his vehicle collided with a sedan in Otay Mesa on Thursday evening, San Diego police said.
The crash happened shortly before 6:55 p.m. at the intersection of Palm and Hawaii avenues, Officer Robert Heims said. An 89-year-old driver was headed west on Palm in a Toyota Corrola. She had a green light when she made a left turn to go south on Hawaii, Heims said.The driver of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was headed east on Palm. Heims said motorcyclist failed to stop for a red light and ran broadside into the sedan.
