A motorcyclist in his 20s has died after he lay injured following a car accident, before being struck again in Melbourne's south-east.

The motorbike and car collided at the intersection of Wilsons Road and Orchid avenue about 8:50pm on Friday.

It is understood the man in his 20s was flung from his bike onto the road, where he lay with critical injuries.Police examine the scene of a crash, where a motorcyclist has died. Picture: Sky News AustraliaOne of the vehicles shows great impact from the collision, with the left front door completely squashed into its frame.Victoria Police investigations are underway as they look to establish the exact circumstances of the collision.
