A motorcyclist was injured in a crash near Glendale Regional Park. Lt. Steve Wooldridge with the Salt Lake City Police Department said the motorcyclist was driving westbound near 1300 West 1700 South when it crashed with a sedan.
As of just before 10 p.m., Wooldridge said they were still investigating and did not know who was at fault. He noted that the motorcyclist did have a helmet on, but was transported to an area hospital with "serious" injuries. The South Mountain Fire burning west of Stockton in Tooele County has spread an estimated 1,000 acres since starting on Monday evening.
