Heartbreaking news to report
A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a lorry at a busy crossroads in Mansfield. Emergency services were called to the A60 following the collision at the junction with the A617 at 4am on Wednesday, July 12.
A number of surrounding roads - including Bellamy Road, Larch Farm and Lichfield Lane - had been closed for several hours but they had all reopened by 12pm.Sergeant Craig Luckett, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit and Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic and traumatic incident and we are working hard to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to this collision.
