A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a vehicle early Thursday morning on the US-290 service road in northeast Austin. Austin police say that the call came in at around 1:05 a.m. for a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in the 9300 block of East US-290 on the westbound service road near Springdale Road.
The motorcyclist died in the crash. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, and no arrests were made, according to APD. Police said that, as of 4:30 a.m. the road will likely be shut down for another hour while crews clean up the scene. Central Texas roofs take a beating.
