The motion for Redwood Drive-In to be rezoned for housing was passed by West Valley City Council.
The meeting happened Tuesday night, attended by many protestors with signs that said things like, "Save the Redwood Drive-In swapmeet."
Residents near the popular drive-in have been rallying to save the venue because of its place in a local swap meet.
