Mother's Decapitated Body Reportedly Found Inside California Home, Son Detained by Police: 'Clearly He was Troubled'A 34-year-old man has been taken into custody over the suspected murder of his 66-year-old mother inside their California home. The woman was found to have been decapitated, according to Fox 11 Los Angles.
"Neighbors heard screaming and yelling and went in to check on the woman and found her deceased," Laguna Beach Police Chief Laura Farinella said told the"They gave us a description of a man that may have been family who had been staying with her." The suspect was arrested around one hour later in San Clemente by Orange County sheriff's deputies. Police have not released the identities of the victim or suspect, but did confirm that a relative of the victim is in custody.
The community have paid tribute to the victim following her death."She was a nice lady. She was probably doing the best she could. She had lost her husband about six years ago and she had just retired," Cott said.
