Mother fatally hit by Porsche SUV while walking with two children on north Harris County road

A mother of two died Friday night after being hit by Porsche SUV in north Harris County, the sheriff's office said. Harris County sheriff's deputies found the woman around 11:45 p.m. at 537 Rankin. Medics took her to a hospital, where she died. The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded after a mother of two children died Friday night from injuries caused by a Porsche SUV.The woman, her husband and two children were walking west on the grass shoulder of Rankin, Sgt. B. Bondurant said at a staging area. For some reason, the mother stepped out onto the road, and at the same time, a Porsche Cayenne SUV also traveling west struck the mother, he said.
The SUV came to a stop up ahead, according to the sheriff's office. The driver didn’t show signs of intoxication and is cooperating with deputies.The father was taken by ambulance with minor injuries. The two children, possibly around 8-10 years of age and 1-2 years of age, were not harmed.
