A woman in Florida is being held without bond after her two young children were found walking down a busy road. The mother was found unconscious and intoxicated when authorities visited her home.

A woman is being held without bond after her two young children "were found walking down the middle of a busy road ," authorities said.
"The children, ages 2 and 4, were spotted walking" on Saturday morning, and Highlands County deputies in Florida learned the children lived about a block from where they were found. They paid a visit and reported seeing Amanda Marie Thomas “on the floor, unconscious, and smelled of alcohol. “When she was awakened, she did not know where her children were and expressed no concern when told where they had been found.”
Deputies also said, “This was not the first time one of the children has left the house, unnoticed by their mother.Finally, about eight hours after the incident, Thomas was given a breath test and her blood alcohol level was measured at 0.152.Stay Connected
