Most popular Easter candy by state: Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs reign supreme, while Peeps fall by the wayside
Grocery delivery app Instacart analyzed 2022 data to see what seasonal goodies saw the biggest jump in popularity on the app in the two weeks leading up to Easter, andThe 2022 Easter top 10 national treats, according to Instacart:Instacart also conducted a survey with The Harris Poll of 2,000 Americans, about two-thirds of which said they celebrate Easter.
The states that ordered Reese's via Instacart more than any other leading up to Easter were largely in the Midwest, including North Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. Pennsylvania and Tennessee rounded out the list. Hershey's, another classic cocoa treat, tied for second with five states. The overall list specified that Hershey's Milk Chocolate Eggs and Kisses were the sixth and seventh most popular candy, respectively, but the state ranking lists Hershey's Milk Chocolate more broadly.
The jellybeans are also the only non-chocolate candy that took the top spot in any state, and were one of three non-chocolate items on the overall top 10 list.
