So why the low ratings? Partly, it’s because the half of America that watches Fox News doesn’t hear much about this. And partly, it’s because of inflation, which peaked at 9.1 percent last summer. So, let’s take a closer look at that. But ask yourself: What would have happened without strong stimulus spending? How many families would have faced evictions and foreclosures? How many businesses would have folded? Would the recovery have dragged out for years, as after the 2008 financial crisis, when stimulus spending was too stingy?
