Pitso Mosimane and Mamelodi Sundowns have an already tense relationship. Things are going to get worse between the two parties as a court case looms. The club want Mosimane to pay back the money paid to him when he was Masandawana's coach. PitsoMosimane
has signed a contract extension with Sundowns, resulting in the club paying his commission to his wife, who is also his agent.
The money was meant to be paid in instalments but Sundowns paid the amount in a once-off lump sum. Pitso then jumped ship and signed for Al Ahly, without working out the remainder of his contract at Masandawana.Pitso recently conducted an interview with Mahlatse Mphahlele on his podcast, PrimeSport with Mahlatse where he spoke about the possibility of a court case with Mamelodi Sundowns.
“There is a court case, but do I really want to go to court? I don’t want to. But If I have to protect my name and myself and justify, I will go to court but it is not nice for football.” Sundowns had filed papers in the Joburg High Court in May 2021, demanding that Mosimane and his agency pay back the money, reportedMosimane admitted to the publication that he had signed a contract until 2024 but that the relationship between him and the club had gotten so bad, that he could no longer work there.
Pitso Mosimane is reportedly worth R2.6 Million per month, as he is linked with a new club after leaving Al Ahly
