Joe Taslim has been teased to return for Mortal Kombat 2, and if Bi-Han is in the sequel, this sets up three major characters from Mortal Kombat lore.
Mortal Kombat 2 could include three major Mortal Kombat characters in the sequel's roster. The Mortal Kombat franchise returned to the big-screen at last with the 2021 reboot Mortal Kombat, in which MMA fighter Cole Young finds himself recruited to fight for Earthrealm against the forces of Outworld. Mortal Kombat includes many famous characters from the games that inspired it, including Bi-Han a.k.a. Sub-Zero , and it seems the 2021 film might not be his last appearance in the franchise.
With Taslim going from Sub-Zero to Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 2, it would do a lot more than simply bring Bi-Han back into the tournament. It would also be the first time Bi-Han's villainous history has been shown in its totality in a cinematic context.
