Morgan Wallen misspent approximately 60,000 of his fans’ time Sunday by canceling his concert in Oxford, Miss., minutes before his start time. The country singer’s team made the announcement with an onscreen message at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium — after opening acts Hardy, Ernest and Bailey Zimmerman had already performed.
“Ladies & gentlemen, unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight – therefore tonight’s show has been cancelled,” the message read. “Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonights [sic] event will be available at point of purchase.”An onscreen message at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium claimed the country singer “lost his voice.”Wallen, 29, himself later spoke out, writing on his Instagram Stories that he had “spent the day resting up, talking to [his] doctor and working through [his] vocal exercises” before ultimately realizing he was still “unable to sing.
