Morgan Wallen's chair-throwing drama has finally reached its conclusion as he pleaded guilty to reduced charges Thursday stemming from the incident.
, forecasting an end to the case — the charges against Wallen were reduced from low-level felonies to two two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment without a weapon.
Each count carried a maximum sentence of 11 months and 29 days in prison and a $500 fine, the judge said. However, the judge accepted the plea agreement and instead gave Wallen a two-year suspended sentence except for “seven days incarceration in a DUI education center,” followed by “supervised probation” for two years. As a first-time offender, if Wallen adheres to his probation, he can later “expunge” the misdemeanor convictions from his record.
About a week later Wallen addressed the arrest on social media, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.
