“I actually started playing really late. I started playing in seventh or eighth grade,” Brannan explained. “I was really bad, like awful at the sport, but I loved it. And as I got better, I just kept with it.”University of Texas volunteer assistant Jessica Brannan starred at MacArthur High School in San Antonio. She went on to win a national championship at Long Beach State in 1998. Accomplishments she humbly kept to herself for years.

The senior outside hitter is finishing her career on a high note. Brannan has amassed more than 400 kills this season, and nears 700 for her career. A career that will continue at the University of Notre Dame next fall.“When I started thinking about college, I want to use volleyball to go to a really good educational school,” Logan said. “When you drive up to Notre Dame, you just see the dome. I always say it feels like Hogwarts, almost. It just feels magical.
