Lunch lady Karissa Dasinger goes above and beyond to make sure students feel special.
DOTHAN, Ala. - A career in the cafeteria isn’t always someone’s first choice, but for Karissa Dasinger, it was where she knew she wanted to be.
“I love kids,” said Dasinger, the Child Nutrition Program Manager at Mixon Elementary. “I always knew I wanted to do something in education or in and around kids.”“I left a job that I had been at my whole life to come into the school system when my children were smaller,” said Dasinger.“I have the best job because I am able to minister to every child that comes through the door,” said Dasinger.”“We had hotdogs today. They love it,” said Dasinger.
