Exercise levels in Jersey are "suboptimal" as more than half the adult population is overweight or obese, a report suggests. Public Health Jersey said figures showed 56% of adults on the island were overweight or obese in 2025 - with a higher proportion recorded for men than women .

"Inequalities persist, with higher activity among men, younger adults, those coping easily financially, adults with sufficient time, and owner-occupiers, and lower activity among women, older adults, and those facing financial or time pressure," it added.
