Democrats are turning their focus to the future under a potential Kamala Harris administration in the second day of the DNC.It is the largest school district in our area.Superintendent Matias Segura asked Menchaca Elementary School students at a cafeteria rally. "Let's go!"
“I love the energy." said Segura. "I love welcoming our students, I love welcoming our families. This is a start, a whole fresh new year.”"We have several new staff members, lots of returning staff members," said Menchaca Elementary School Principal Kristi Campbell. "Just seeing those teams form and get ready to welcome the kids, that is where the magic happens in the classroom.
"We’re always focused on school safety, so making sure our systems and routines are right on a daily basis." she said. Voters will now get to decide whether property taxes get raised to help lower the district's $119 million deficit.
