Everyone who makes the plunge into the fridge Atlantic Ocean, either as an individual or a team, pledges to raise money, for the Special Olympics New Jersey.This year, it was expected to draw 5,000 participants and raise $1.8 million.

Among some of this year’s participants were the Bayshore Shrinky Dinks team, which raised $66,330 as of Friday and. At age 88, Lambertson is the oldest participant in the Seaside Heights event.
