More than 12,000 journeys were taken on Leicester's new free electric bus service in its first few weeks, officials said.
The Leicester City Council-backed Greenlines Hop launched on 3 April to carry passengers around the city centre.The council said passenger numbers had been rising "steadily"."The response from the public has so far been positive, with people clearly welcoming the idea of a free shuttle that links Leicester's transport hubs with popular destinations.
