More local lockdowns will follow as Leicester leads way in tackling Covid, Sage expert warns
MORE local lockdowns are on the way and the public should brace for further outbreaks of the coronavirus, an expert has warned.
Oxford University’s Professor Peter Horby this morning highlighted that the epidemic is not the same in all places. "Unfortunately I think we should. We've seen the epidemic is focal, which is often the case, it's not the same in all places. So far in the UK over 43,000 people have died from the coronavirus and the recent outbreak in Leicester has seen an uptick in cases in the area.
