From late Thursday night to early this morning, Houston ISD parents aren’t backing down.

Organizers said they’re protesting the harm HISD Superintendent Mike Miles is doing to teachers and the community. That’s been the message at schools across the district for the last couple of weeks.Here's what a parent told KHOU 11 News at a protest in Meyerland two days ago. “We’re all not sleeping well. There’s a lot of anxiety. My kids are having panic attacks, and it’s all because of the lack of transparency at the school and not knowing what’s happening and why,” Sarat Mujuluri, an HISD parent, said.
Then this afternoon at 2:45 p.m., KHOU 11 News learned that students at more than two dozen high schools are planning to walk out of school.Parents tell us they’re taking their concerns to City Hall next.
