Another hot day is in the forecast for all of Alabama, and the counties in orange will be under heat advisories today.
South Alabama will be the spot for the worst heat and humidity today. Areas in north and central Alabama will experience slightly drier air, and there are no advisories in effect for those areas today.Air temperatures on Saturday are forecast to range from the upper 80s in north Alabama to the mid-90s in south Alabama.
Rain chances will also be higher across south Alabama today. Here is the probability of precipitation forecast for Saturday through 7 p.m.:for all of southwest Alabama today from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. The National Weather Service said the heat index in that region could go as high as 112 degrees this afternoon.for southeast Alabama from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. CDT. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Fla., said the heat index could reach 108 degrees in those counties today.
