There is an improved stock market outlook among top corporate CFOs surveyed by CNBC, but no change in their view that the US economy will enter a recession.
Chief financial officers at major U.S. corporations remain firm in their overwhelming view that the U.S. will enter a recession, according to the latest quarterly survey of CNBC CFO Council members.
The survey is a snapshot of the views from a select number of CFOs comprising the 100 member-plus council.Getty Images Last quarter, only 13% of CFOs said they could see a new high for the Dow, while more than half expected a return to the 30,000 level. Now CFOs are split into three roughly equal camps: those who expect a new high, those who still expect a return to 30,000, and those making no bet on the next big move in stocks.
