More Android app developers are abandining their apps and this could be a problem

Android app developers are abandoning their apps in increasing numbers. These are apps that have not been updated in over two years.

The number of abandoned apps rises during Q2 in the Play Store, decreases in the App Store

So if apps that haven't received an update in two years are abandoned, what do you call an app that hasn't received an update in over five years? Those are known as"super-abandoned" apps and total 306,000 and are rising on both app storefronts combined. Those that haven't received an update in over three years on both the Android and iOS platforms total 840,000.

In the Google Play Store, apps that have not received an update in over two years are supposed to be hidden from users and should not show up in a Play Store search result. During the second quarter Apple and Google removed 592,000 abandoned apps which were more than twice the 220,000 removed during the first quarter of this year.and Google it doesn't mean that they don't remain on your phone.
