Arizona Cardinals team owner Michael Bidwill has some big decisions to make, so he needs to have the right people in his huddle.

Bidwill has to hire two of the most important people in any NFL operation — general manager and head coach — and any decisionmaker is only as good as his most trusted advisers.“I’ve already been on the phone,” he said Monday in announcing his decision, “setting up interviews and speaking with people I respect around the NFL, getting their input on the best candidates out there.”
Both of those guys know exactly what it takes to win at this level, and the guess is that they can tell a contender from a pretender faster than most folks can make a pre-snap read. And then Bidwill has to do the most important thing: He’s got to stand on his own; no matter what decision he makes, it will be his alone, regardless of whether it works or fails, regardless of who made the initial suggestion.
