MoonKnight writer Jeremy Slater reveals he wants to adapt Excalibur for the MCU. 'My two favorite (non-Spider-Man) characters have always been Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde.'
Moon Knight writer Jeremy Slater reveals he wants to adapt Excalibur for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shares his vision for the project. Originally created by Chris Claremont and Alan Davis, the superhero team made their Marvel Comics debut with 1987's Excalibur: The Sword is Drawn and served as a spin-off from the X-Men.
Slater first got his hands on a Marvel project in the form of 2015's Fantastic Four movie, which he co-wrote with director Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg, though the film proved to be a critical and commercial failure, which he attributed to a difference in vision with Trank and studio interference.
Though a lot of Excalibur's adventures and characters sound difficult to introduce to the MCU, many upcoming plans for the long-running franchise have established the possibility of introducing the superhero team to the fold.
