Marvel has shared the first official variant covers celebrating the 2023 Hellfire Gala event, and Moon Knight is receiving a makeover that lives up to his most menacing boast. The Gala, set to primarily take place in the X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1 one-shot by Gerry Duggan and various artists, promises to be full of excitement, glamour, and drama leading up to the X-Men's "Fall of X" era.
The Hellfire Gala, an annual party hosted by the X-Men on their home island of Krakoa, has evolved into one of Marvel's biggest events of the year. To commemorate the occasion, heroes from all over the Marvel Universe are invited to attend, giving artists a chance to flex their design muscles in creating over-the-top outfits for the occasion. This year, Moon Knight is one of those heroes getting an all-new costume, designed and rendered by artist W. Scott Forbes.

The approaching "Fall of X" era is setting up major consequences for the Marvel Universe.
