Co-director Aaron Moorhead teases that Moon Knight episodes 5 and 6 will have more surprises. Marvel Studios' current Disney+ show is down to its last stretch. But after the shocking ending of Moon Knight episode 4, viewers need to strap in as the show is not letting up on the unexpected plot twists.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac as the titular character who is living with dissociative identity disorder . He has two known alters thus far — the mild-mannered Steven Grant and Marc Spector, a mercenary. With the threat posed by cultist leader Arthur Harrow , who is trying to resurrect Ammit, the pair needs to work together, alongside Marc's estranged wife, Layla to stop him.
I think if you were surprised by episode 4, get ready to be surprised again by episodes 5 and 6. I know it just sounds like a nice little tag, but I promise you that's actually the case. Looking back at the past Marvel Studio/Disney+ series, the last two episodes are typically chockfull of revelations. Typically, the penultimate outing pulls all the stops to set up the finale. WandaVision episode 8 laid out how exactly Wanda Maximoff created the Maximoff Anomaly, while Loki episode 5 revealed what's really in the Void. Based on this, it makes sense that more surprises are coming for Moon Knight.
It's worth noting that Moon Knight is a limited Marvel Studios series. This means that a second season is out of the question — at least at this point. But given this, it's safe to assume that show creator Jeremy Slater and the rest of his team came up with a complete storyline. Like WandaVision, Moon Knight will have a definitive ending. What comes after that for Marc and Steven is still unknown.
