As a boy, Marc took his younger brother Randall into a cave where an accident resulted in his death. Devastated beyond all reason, Marc's mother took out her grief on Marc, blaming him for this painful tragedy.
This scene in particular is tough to watch, and there's a lot to unpack here too when it comes to how Marvel chooses to portray mothers — and women in general.
