On Wednesday, April 19, it was announced that Moon Bin, star of K-pop boy band ASTRO, died in his home in the Gangnam neighborhood of Seoul. He was 25.
Moon Bin’s management agency, Fantiago, confirmed his death in a statement on social media. “On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us and has now become a star in the sky,” the label wrote, per“Please refrain from speculative and malicious reporting for the bereaved family who have received this sad news unexpectedly and let them mourn in reverence,” the statement continued.
Moon Bin was also one half of the music duo Moonbin & Sanha.
