) - The Montgomery County Board of Education has approved the contracts for interim Superintendent Jamie Wilson and interim Chief School Financial Officer Pamela Watkins.
Both Wilson and Watkins will be under six-month contracts as the board prepares to search for the next superintendent and chief school financial officer. Board President Brenda DeRamus-Coleman said the district will hire a consulting firm to create a profile for the superintendent position. “They have resources that we don’t necessarily have locally,” Coleman said. “They will be able to do a broader search and a more comprehensive search and hopefully get us a broader range of wonderful candidates to bring in for us to look at.”
