A man who was arrested in April by the Alabama Department of Corrections is back in jail, this time on multiple charges including attempted murder.
Keante Jamal Shipp was arrested by the Alabama Department of Corrections in April. He was released on bond but has since been arrested on numerous new charges, including attempted murder.The Montgomery Police Department arrested Keante Shipp , 21, of Montgomery, for attempted murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
Police stated that the crime happened on July 9 in the 900 block of West Edgemont Avenue. Shipp was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody by MPD and the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday. Shipp was previously charged in Elmore County with trafficking marijuana, promoting prison contraband I & II, and criminal trespassing by ADOC after being found with more than seven pounds of cannabis, 56 grams or more of synthetic cathinone , 30 cell phones, 24 charging cords, and 17 charging blocks.
