Voting officials in Montgomery County are working to ensure voters' and poll workers' safety ahead of Election Day. This comes as the FBI revealed this week that it foiled a Election Day terror plot in Oklahoma.
Agents arrested 27-year-old Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi in Oklahoma. He was charged with conspiring to carry out a terrorist attack.
Judge Love says they take situations like this seriously and are being very proactive with the goal to ensure the safety of voters when they head to the polls on Nov. 5. Love says the Montgomery County Probate Court works closely with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies. He says there will be a law enforcement presence at polling locations around the county.
