The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce created a new program to help struggling military spouses.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce recognizes the struggle military spouses face when it comes to finding work, so it created a new program called ADVON. That’s a military term-short for advanced echelon.
The program will help military spouses locate available jobs with the help of the chamber’s member businesses, ranging from small firms to big corporations. It won’t just benefit military spouses. The program will also help the businesses and likely boosts the local economy as well.
