Over the course of just three days at Monterey Car Week, local police stopped 211 vehicles, issued 135 citations, towed eight cars, and arrested seven drivers
Monterey Car Week is one of the few places on earth where you can get tired of seeing all of the cars that are normally the exclusive province of magazine covers. Given the density of insanely powerful and desirable vehicles, it’s not that surprising that the event also keeps local cops pretty busy.Department posted statistics with its Car Week 2023 Traffic Enforcement Report for 3 of the 7 Monterey Car Week days, from August 17 to August 19.
The police department reports that it towed three vehicles each on the 17th and the 19th, compared to just two on the 18th. Meanwhile, it arrested two drivers on Friday, three drivers on Thursday, and five on Saturday.
