Montana State successfully shut out Weber State Saturday night in Ogden.
OGDEN — With hopes to keep Montana State's offense off the field for much of the night, Weber State couldn't get the job done Saturday at Stewart Stadium. The first quarter highlighted a strong defensive effort from both teams for a scoreless first 15 minutes.
Chambers added to the scoring before the half with a 29-yard rushing touchdown to take a 20-0 halftime lead. Meanwhile, Weber State only averaged 2 yards per play in the first half against a stingy defensive showing by the Bobcats. Weber State gained some momentum in the second half and got into Bobcats territory, but the defense continued its prowess and forced a turnover on downs to get the ball back and keep the Wildcats out of the end zone.
